Swim Team

All children age 4-18 (age as of 05/01/10) are eligible to join the team as long as they are able to swim a full length of the pool unassisted (any stroke). A swim test will be held on the first day of practice. Practice times will be announced at the April 13th Swim Team Registration Party.  The registration fee is $60.00 per child and is structured to include stroke instruction, swim meets, a Griffin Swim Team gift, ribbons and a trophy.

Parental involvement is required! We will need timers, ribbon writers, line-up parents, scorers, judges and starters, etc. Feel free to sign up for more than one area. If two parents are willing to assist please indicate on your application. Any parent who would like to volunteer in any other manner, your help is always appreciated.

All coaches have the right to discipline children that become disrespectful, unruly or harmful to others. Parents will be advised when their child has been reprimanded. If a coach or assistant coach has to reprimand a swimmer more than 3 times, that swimmer will forfeit their team fee and be released from the swim team. The coach and assistant coaches, Firethorne Country Club, or any named company associated with Firethorne Country Club will not be held liable for any injuries, etc. occurring during practice times or swim meets.
