A Conversation with Denise Nicholas: Actor, Author, Trailblazer A Women's Impact Network x Book Club Collaboration Wednesday, August 5 | 5:30 pm | $10++ Members, $15++ Guests Please join us in welcoming actor & author Denise Nicholas! Nicolas is known to audiences the world over through her long career in television beginning with the series ROOM 222, one of the first fully integrated television shows to hit the air waves. She will talk about her career and her transition to full time writer at the completion of her work on the ever popular tv show, In the Heat of the Night, opposite the late Carroll O’Connor. Of Nicholas’ first book, Freshwater Road, The Washington Post wrote that it was “impossible to praise the book too much” and called it “the best novel about the Civil Rights Movement ever written.” Nicholas will read from her highly acclaimed, recently release memoir, Finding Home at this event. Books are currently available wherever they are sold, in stores and online. A limited number of Books will be available for purchase at the event.
